MANAGING MEMBER
Mr. Sollott is a Co-Managing Member responsible for developing and implementing portfolio strategies, portfolio management and trade execution. Mr. Sollott co-founded the Firm with Simon Mikhailovich in 1998 after completing a management buyout of the CDO business from St. Paul Travelers.
Prior to the 1998 acquisition, he was a Senior Portfolio Manager for 5 years at Falcon Asset Management, a wholly owned subsidiary of USF&G Corp. While at Falcon, Mr. Sollott launched a successful CDO business in 1996. In 1993 he established the high-yield department that grew to more than $800 million in assets under management. From 1990 to 1993, he was a Portfolio Manager and Credit Analyst with Penn Mutual Life Insurance Company and managed $1.5 billion in fixed-income assets.
Before joining Penn Mutual, he was a Financial Analyst with Valuation Research Corporation responsible for enterprise valuations and solvency opinions. Previously, Mr. Sollott worked in the consulting practice of Arthur Andersen.
Mr. Sollott received his M.B.A. from the University of Michigan and his B.S. from Duke University.
